Oops! I messed up. Several of the problems on the review sheet are "trick" questions that I would not expect you to be able to solve. However, you should be able to set up the equation and reach a certain point (see below). Try using some common sense to figure out why these are "trick" questions. We'll discuss them in class on Wednesday. #4: You should arrive at the equation A' = πr. #6: You should arrive at the equation C' = (π^2)r^4 - 500πr - 100. #7: Remember that critical values are values at which the derivative is equal to zero or values for which the derivative is undefined. You should find that r = 0 is a critical value. Sorry for the confusion.
